Jean – Pierre Fleury was the first grower in Champagne to adopt biodynamic methods when he started converting his estate in 1989, becoming fully biodynamic in 1992. Like Cefalicchio in Puglia ,Fleury is a member of the Return to Terroir group, and a producer of beautiful characterful wines.
This Champagne is a classic blanc de noirs style – a white sparkling wine made from pinot noirs.(black grapes). As well as the very fine ,brioche and yeast aromas and creamy, dry, mouthfilling texture ,there is a lovely core of wild strawberry.

The interest in small-scale, grower champagnes builds each year, and this
nutty, dry example with its alluring hints of wild strawberry fruit is
exactly what I want to be sipping as I open my pressies on Christmas morning.
