Franck Pascal 2002
95 points by Huon Hook. Full yellow colour with a slight tinge of gold. Roasted nuts, toasted almonds, toasted bread, too. Some aldehydes. Rich, soft, round palate with gentle and mellow flavour, but enlivened by good acidity. Has length too, but not great linearity or finesse. Very good, and very dry, but a little clunky on the back-palate where it loses its way somewhat. Big flavour, mouthfilling. Genuine aged character and a clean aftertaste. Stacks of character.
Franck Pascal 2004
96 points by Huon Hooke. Medium yellow colour; developed bouquet with aldehydes, lots of character and complexity, only a light touch of sweetness in the middle, then a dry, rich, full-flavoured palate with a clean, dry and lasting aftertaste. Rich, mellow, aged and aldehydic, but complex. Long and rewarding. Superb wine.
